About SyrupDeals
SyrupDeals collects the best tech deals in Canada, starting with PC hardware and gaming. Members post the deals they find, everyone votes them hot or cold, and the hottest rise to the top. Prices are in Canadian dollars, from stores that ship in Canada.
How the heat works
Every vote moves a deal by one degree: hot adds a degree, cold takes one away. Fresh deals with a few votes can beat older ones with many, so the front page keeps moving.
- Below 0° – frozen: the community thinks it is not a good deal.
- 100° and up – boiling.
- 300° and up – pure syrup, the best of the best. Like maple sap, the hottest deals boil down to syrup.
Price history and price drops
For products we track, product pages show the price at each store and the best price over the last 90 days. When a price hits its lowest point in that time, a “Price drop” deal appears on its own. You can set a price alert to get an email when a product drops to your price.
Who runs it
SyrupDeals is an independent site run by one person in Ontario, Canada. It is not owned by any store. Posts from the official @SyrupDeals account carry a “Team” badge.
How the site is paid for
Some links to stores are affiliate links: if you buy something, the store may pay us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which deals are shown or how they rank. Details are in the affiliate disclosure. There are no ads and no tracking cookies.
