These terms apply when you use SyrupDeals. SyrupDeals is run by an individual in Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”). By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use SyrupDeals.
What SyrupDeals is
SyrupDeals shows electronics deals from Canadian stores, price history and price comparisons, and lets members post, vote on and discuss deals. We don’t sell anything ourselves. Purchases happen on the store’s website, under the store’s terms.
Prices and information
Prices, stock and deals change quickly and come from stores, their feeds and other members. We work to keep them accurate but can’t guarantee it. Always check the price and conditions on the store’s site before you buy. We are not responsible for a store’s prices, products, delivery or service.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- One account per person. Keep access to your email account safe, because sign-in links go there.
- Pick a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else, including a store or brand.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy).
Community rules
When you post deals, comments or votes:
- Post real deals you can link to on the store’s own website. Be honest about the price and conditions.
- Don’t post your own referral or affiliate links, and don’t post deals for a store or product you work for or are paid by without saying so.
- No spam, scams, illegal products, hate, harassment, personal information about others, or sexual content.
- Don’t manipulate votes, for example with several accounts or by trading votes.
- Respect the limits: 5 deals per 24 hours and 20 comments per hour.
We may edit or remove posts, and limit, suspend or close accounts, that break these rules or harm the community. We may also remove a deal that has expired or turned out to be wrong.
What you post
You keep the rights to what you write. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show, store, copy and format it on SyrupDeals and in our emails, for as long as it is on the site. You confirm you have the right to post it.
Links to stores
Many links to stores are affiliate links: we may earn a commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.
No warranty and limits on liability
SyrupDeals is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from relying on a price, deal or post on the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use SyrupDeals means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
