SyrupDeals is free to use. To pay for it, we take part in affiliate programmes: when you follow some of our links to a store and buy something, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price either way.
Which links earn us money
- Links to stores on product pages and on deals SyrupDeals finds automatically can be affiliate links. They are marked as sponsored links in the page code, and the note “Links to stores may be affiliate links” appears next to them.
- Links in deals posted by members are not affiliate links. We remove referral and tracking codes from them when they are posted, so nobody, including us, earns from someone else’s post.
Commissions don’t decide what you see
- Deals are ranked by the community’s votes (“heat”) or by how new they are, never by commission.
- Automatic deals are based on our own price history: a price counts as a deal when it is low compared with what the product actually sold for recently, not compared with a store’s “regular price” claim.
- The price comparison shows every store we have a price for, whether or not it pays us.
- Stores can’t pay to be placed higher. If we ever show paid placements, they will be clearly labelled.
